During the July 2026 meeting, it was proposed that Branch meetings should begin at 1130 hrs, rather than the long‑standing 1115 hrs.
This adjustment has been made possible through the Hon. Secretary’s refinement of meeting procedures. Approximately three days before each meeting, he now emails the Secretary’s and Treasurer’s reports to members. This enables members to read and consider the content in advance, meaning we no longer need to review these reports in depth during the meeting itself.
As a result, the time required for formal meeting actions has been reduced.
The Annual General Meeting in March will remain an exception. Owing to the volume of business that must be covered – first within the AGM and then in the Branch meeting that follows – the start time for that meeting will continue to be 1115 hrs.
