It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of John Colin Brown BEM, who died peacefully at the care home he lived at, on Friday, 17th October 2025. He was aged 89. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends during this difficult time.
He was best known by the name Colin, and was a former LSgt in the Band of the Grenadier Guards. He transferred to the Kent (then East Kent) Branch from the Medway Branch on 11 September 2023.
The funeral has been organised for Thursday, 13 November 2025. Branch members and RHQ have been advised of further details. RHQ has also notified the wider Grenadier family.

Oh God, grant that thy servants, The Grenadier Guards, may ever be mindful of their proud and costly heritage, that continuing to guard what is right, and fighting for what is just, they may serve Thee in this life, that they may be counted worthy to continue their service in the life to come.
