The Kent Branch has the opportunity to parade our Branch Banner at the VE Day 80th Anniversary commemoration that will be held at the War Memorial in Hythe, Kent.

Timings have yet to be confirmed, but if they follow the usual format for this type of event, members will be requested to assemble by 1020 hrs on the south side of Ladies Walk Bridge.  We will then be ready to march onto parade.

We are also advised that there will be a Beacon Lighting at 2000 hrs on the sea front (opposite the Hythe Imperial Hotel). It is understood that the City of Canterbury Band and the Military Wives Choir – Shorncliffe will be performing.

Branch members and Branch Banner in attendance for the morning parade, please. Members are also encouraged to attend the Beacon Lighting that night, too.
